Ox wraps up

Good afternoon electrifying members of QBC,
We wrapped up 2022 in style with the Ryan Alagich Tag Team Day presented by Yeti and congrats to the winners, Team Samson. We must say the display of leadership from our Team Captains across all teams were exemplary. So cool to watch the growth of not only surfing but people over the years and the way they conduct themselves in and out of the water.
2022 Presso night was a magnificent affair, with special thanks to all our community partners without whom we wouldn’t be able to supply such amazing prizes for all the winners and place getters, please take this into account when you next spend your hard earned, go through our sponsors first as they are continually digging deep for us. To Trudy and Joe P for the catering and making sure Team Gumby had a belly full of quality food, we thank you. Ryan and Surfection for all the prize packs for each and every division, Ra for the Jewellery, FSC, Sofitel Darling Harbour, Haydn Shapes for the boards, Electric, Nixon, Okanui and Yeti for the merchandise. Queeny Surf Club for allowing us to use their Clubhouse and keeping the liquids flowing, Cheers. To all the winners congrats and I bet the rest of your divisions are already out there practicing to make sure you don’t repeat in 2023.

Surfing Australia ABB is this Saturday and we can’t express enough how much we need all Team Gumby at Northy to help get our Team Home with a Victory, positions in the Team have been hard fought and we congratulate those selected for this regional round. This is the last contest of the season for Team Surfing and from the U10’s through to the O60’s and every one in between, QBC NEEDS YOU THERE!! Keep an eye on our socials for the updated info.

This is the most positive time in history for the Greatest Club in the World and I wish to thank all of QBC for allowing me the opportunity to help guide our Club and Community over the years as President and as a QBC member. It’s been a tremendous honour, pleasure and dream to have been able to hold this position, then to be able to pass on the Presidency of QBC to two staunch Team Gumby leaders in our Co Presidents Blaise and Tim is extremely exciting and rewarding, these gentlemen hold QBC in the same regard as myself and will continue lighting the Pink flame of the QBC Heart for a long time to come.

So many people to thank for their outstanding contributions to QBC and myself along the journey and I will personally do so moving forward as you each deserve that respect.
