QBC Newsletter 26/9/2022

Good afternoon Team Gumby,
The October Contest will also be the Annual QBC AGM from 5pm at the contest site just after the finals.QBC last points score for 2022 is next Saturday the 8th October, the last chance to climb the all-important points ladder or bragging rights till next season. Liveheats will be open from Monday 3rd October at 7pm and close Friday 7th at 7pm. #Letsgoooo! The September results have now been published big thanks to Oscar for getting it sorted.

October Contest day:

6.30am Set up  O40’s and U18’s
7.30am Heat Draw finalised
9.00 to 11.00am BBQ O40’s and U18’s
12.00 to 1.00pm Merch on sale including All New Club Shorts
1.00 to 3.00pm BBQ O40’s and U18’s​
5.00pm Finals Finish
5.10pm QBC 2022 AGM

Take a look at the all new QBC website which as well as all things QBC also has the wrap up from the O40’s Surftag fifth place finish at Curly on the weekend and big thanks to the gentlemen who gave up their time to surf for our great Club. This Saturday 1st is the Open Team Gumby’s which is to be held on our own magnificent beach.

Please check out the ‘Manly Lagoon Friends’ who are actively trying to restore the lifeblood to the best beach in the world. Team Gumby ( and any family or friends you can share with) needs to be involved in this project, so please take a look as the more members to this cause the better chance we have of success.

  • October 21-23rd QBC Grom Camp Tiona Park ( Can all groms and parents who are attending please email me confirmation of attendance and whether you are at Tiona or other so we can finalise the costs associated for this amazing weekend)
  • November 5th QBC Ryan Alagich Tag Team Day and End of Year Presentation Night at the Queeny Surf Club
  • November 6th Surfing NSW 24/7 Surf Rescue Course and CPR at Queeny beach and in our Club house (more details coming )
  • November 19th Hyundai ABB Northy – Athletes TBC
